Getting started

Currently, the land is waist high in grass and weeds, including wild parsnip that can cause nasty blisters if the sap gets on your skin and is then exposed to the sun. The first step is to cut all of this down so that we can mark out where the house will go and not get burned by the parsnip! Next week, our excavation guy will bring a skid steer with a brush cutter and clear it all out safely, After that, we can mow it regularly and keep the wild parsnip at bay.

When I visited last there was a young deer having a nap by the river.
