More snow

The top picture is the main street by our house. The next picture is the main Trans Canada Highway, later on it was completely whited out and we had to take a big detour because a lorry jacknifed on a main bridge and they closed the road. I am really glad we have four wheel drive as we have had to drive through some pretty deep snow, but when it gets higher than the doors then you can't really go any further until a plough comes. We have a shovel in the boot but so far we have managed without it. What worries me most are other drivers as some people drive crazy in the snow, luckily most people drive ok. If this was the UK the country would have ground to a complete halt but Canada expects these sort of conditions, although usually not until Jan/Feb.
