First visit to Rigaud

It all started when we first visited Rigaud back in July 2005. Sabrina's sister (Melissa) and Brother-in-law (Tom) bought a plot of around two acres of land in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. Rigaud is a small town in the province of Quebec about 35 mins drive West from Montreal and a few miles from the border with Ontario (see map). Actually, the land they bought is in an area called Boisee De Riguad (Woods of Rigaud) which is a woodland on a hill a few miles from Rigaud itself. It seemed like a pretty adventurous undertaking, but also pretty exciting. Anyone who watches "Grand Designs" will know what I mean. This is the footprint of Tom and Melissa's new house, above that is a picture of the well that will supply all their water.
