Rebar

Things have slowed down a lot in November due to various construction workers being sick and the complexity of the steel reinforcement of the concrete slab, with rebar and mesh. I can't believe how much metal has been wired together, you would think we were building a multi-story car park rather than a house! I also spent a few hours filling any joint gaps in the styrofoam with spray foam to make sure that cold air can't seep through. Snow has now started to arrive and we are now worried that the site will be buried before we can pour the concrete. Last week, Southern Ontario had four feet of snow, but luckily most of it missed us! We are hoping to pour the concrete this Friday and the weather seems to be ok, no rain and not too cold. Fingers crossed, we will pass the rebar inspection and none of the relevant people gets sick and/or cancels on us.
